There's two sorts of hiatus in Progress City. The first is your general "autopilot" kind of hiatus where your character is around and doing stuff, you're just not playing them. The second, however, is a mechanic unique to Progress City: your character can apply for a "experimental" ride through the dimensional transporters. You see, Bill is trying to fix them so you can all get home and he wants test subjects to try his new adjustments.

Of course, fixing such delicate and advanced technology can come with a few downsides: your character will spend the duration of your hiatus in another dimension which the mods will RNG for you. The same principle applies for drops, only your character will be one of a lucky few: they'll actually manage to make it home to the correct dimension.

need to lighten the load all over in prep for an upcoming dev project starting next month and i'm not feeling his voice much at the moment. i'd def like to bring him back in the future i just have to figure out my new schedule first
