| Here You Leave Today And Enter The World Of Yesterday, Tomorrow And Fantasy. Welcome to Progress City's first official test drive meme! This game is a panfandom jamjar set in a flux dimension inspired by Disney Theme Parks (particularly Walt Disney World in Florida) and the original concept for EPCOT (a city that would connect to the theme parks). Whether you're looking to join us or are just here to play around for a little bit, we have a few prompts below for you - but you're also free to come up with your own! | |||
| Prompt A Whatever you're doing, wherever you are, you find a vintage-looking ticket. The next time you blink or close your eyes for any reason, you open them and find yourself somewhere else - Progress City's Ticket and Transportation Center. You have no idea how you got here, and definitely don't know how you got this weird thing on your wrist... You'll learn, eventually, that Progress City and it's world-class themeparks are a popular tourist dimension across this universe. People can get in here very easily, but for some reason, that unremovable band on your wrist isn't allowing you to use their transporters to get home. To compensate, you'll be offered a job in the parks and free housing for the duration of your stay. Is that something you're willing to take? | |||
| Prompt B While you're here, you might as well spend some time around the theme parks in your downtime. It's easy enough to get to them - the city offers free 24/7 monorail and peoplemover transportation to each park, and you also get a free annual pass for yourself with your stay (lucky you)! If you're at all familiar with Walt Disney World, these four parks will seem...remarkably familiar to you. But there's little subtle differences here and there that that make this seem different - and the ones in charge will seem confused by the concept of a "Walt Disney World". Must be a thing about different dimensions. Nevertheless, you're still going to have the occasional bit of free time here, so there's plenty to see and do here across all four areas. Go ride some rides and eat some Dole Whip, you crazy kids. | |||
| Prompt C With the housing, you also get offered a job by Progress City's mayor. Maybe you decide to take it, maybe you don't, he's not gonna kick you out of your apartment unless you deserve it. But this poses a good way to get some actual money. You'll be matched to a job around the resort - hopefully one you enjoy. You could end up working in the parks as a ride operator, serving food, managing a shop, working security, or ending up as a pool lifeguard. There are a number of possibilities here, and you can always change your job later on if you find one that may suit you more. | |||
| Prompt D Over time, the thing on your wrist changes. Namely, it'll start taking on new colors, designs and occasionally icons that reflect your character's personality and appearance. You'll find that by concentrating you'll be able to utilize your band to... cast magic spells, of all things. These also seem tailored to your character - summoning weapons, creating projectiles, putting foes to sleep? It seems that no two bands are alike when it comes to this. ...Occasionally, you'll spot one or two small ink blot-like creatures scurrying about the city or the parks, creating an inky mess and leaving a small amount of chaos in it's wake. Those don't seem advertised. Perhaps they'd be good to try out your new abilities on, or maybe you'd prefer to practice a little bit first. | |||

Princess Anna | you know it | come at me!
MGMHollywood Studios[ The Arendelle Princess, though not familiar with much of the way things go in this strange place, was taking full advantage of exploring the parks. In the corner of the park, Anna stood staring up at the tall pink building, screams echoing from it every few moments. She'd already gathered the concept behind the rides from asking around a bit- but the question now was... Does she want to try it?
She's jumped off a mountain into a heap of snow before, which is definitely more scary and dangerous than that ride could possibly be. Right?
She tugs on one of her braids and chews on her lip- she could just go shopping instead. Or watch the actors perform on the back lot. With a deep breath, she nods her head and starts her way towards the Tower of Terror. Watch out, everyone, there's a very determined Princess marching toward the ride. ]
B2 - EPCOT
[ For a sheltered Princess like Anna, EPCOT is a dream come true. As soon as she catches wind of the fact that there's different nations represented, she skips past the 'future' part of the park and starts her journey 'around the world'. She can be found at food stalls in every nation, blinking at the menu and turning to ask: ]
If I had to try ONE thing, what would that be?
[ Except for Norway. Anna stops as soon as she happens upon the pavilion, eyes wide at the familiar sights- and okay, she might be tearing up a little. There was that homesickness that she's been suppressing since she arrived. When in Norway, she can either be found outside, trying her best not to be too emotional... Or inside Kringla Bakeri, eating Kjøttkake or school bread and.... still trying not to be too emotional. ]

You're sure about this? ( comes the voice behind the princess, one hundred percent sounding like he's not too sure about this. but, well, if anna's in, then so is kristoff; he's definitely not afraid of heights, but the way this place looks is giving him pause considering he's an actual sane person. have the people who work at this ride just never bothered to dust the cobwebs away? jeez.
anyway. ) I heard there's a sing-along in this park — you love sing-alongs.
( plus, he bets that building's a little cooler than the sticky humidity of this city's air — especially considering he feels more than a little overdressed for the occasion, pulling his wool-lined hat off even if it means his hair is an abomination underneath. when isn't it? )

I'm totally sure. [ She might not look totally sure. But that's beside the point. ]
We can go to that after- I mean, we're already almost there. [ She thinks.
She turns to look at him and hides a laugh behind her hand. His hair is definitely worse off after removing his cap. She stands on the tips of her toes and smooths it out the best that she can. ] Maybe one of those shops has something cooler for you to change into?

he rolls up his long sleeves, totally manly and all, acquiesces to her with a short, ) Alright. ( oh, but there's a caveat. ) But I'm not wearing anything with an oversized mouse on it.
( they round the bend of the walkway and at long last are ushered inside the hotel lobby — which looks like it might have been fancier than anything kristoff has ever seen in his life if it wasn't, you know, dilapidated. ) I know I'm not exactly known for my cleaning skills, but this place really takes the cake. ( the cast member that gives him a dead stare seems to agree. )

Nothing with an oversized mouse, got it. Because the last thing we'd want is to fit in here. [ She's teasing, but... Really now. Little does he know that she's already planning on buying something matching for herself. Mostly because how cute would that be??? And she's already seen people walk around in matching outfits.
As they enter the lobby, she can't help but wrinkle her nose a little. ] Wow. This is... [ She trails off, not necessarily wanting to say something rude about the place in front of the people that work here. ] Yeah.
[ She grabs Kristoff's hand and tugs him towards the area the cast member gestures them towards. Someone might be starting to doubt her decision- but she's not going to outright say it. ]

the way she takes his hand is pretty nice, too, and then anna's dragging him into the next room.
it's possibly stranger than the first, a room littered with books and all kinds of dusty-looking artifacts — and suddenly, the lights go dark, and a lit portrait flickers to life, complete with sound. you unlock this door with the key of imagination...
kristoff's brow furrows as the strange visuals play out before them, a floating door, a crashing window, an ... eyeball? he can't help himself; he squeezes anna's hand a little, as though to reassure her when he's mostly trying to reassure himself. ) This is definitely weird, right? ( he asks, whispered close to her ear. )

She tries to pay attention to the portrait, but she's too busy glancing around the room, just to make sure no funny business is happening. Though she doubted it with the park, you could never be too sure.
Kristoff's voice in her ear brings her attention back to him, and as she turns her head they're pretty much nose to nose. Thankfully it's too dark to see her blushing as she nods her head. ]
I don't know what an eyeball has to do with anything... [ Or... Oh my goodness. Anna's eyes widen as they explain that the elevator is broken? That those people died? THAT THEY COULD BE NEXT???
She takes a deep breath, steels herself more and smiles up at him as a panel in the wall opens to let them through and the lights come back on. ]
So. Are you ready???
[ That question might be more for herself. She's not saying. ]

[It had taken a while for Elsa to warm up to this place. So many of the rides and buildings reminded her of the terrible ordeal that still played so fresh in her mind, and so she'd avoided exploring much at first. But now Anna was here, bright and happy Anna who never died and has no memory of the mansion, and that's enough to get Elsa out of her shell a bit.
She trails only a few steps behind her sister, so she definitely notices the sudden shift in Anna's attitude as they step into Norway - it's easy, because the sharp pang of homesickness claws its way through her chest too. God, it's been almost a year, hasn't it...?]
Anna...
[Elsa reaches out, putting what she hopes is a comforting hand on her sister's shoulder. For so long she's been stuck in a rut where it was always others comforting her; now it's time to step up and be that person for Anna for once. ]
I'm sure we'll be able to see the real thing again soon.

[ Having Elsa here helped with the homesickness, of course, but there was just something about seeing all the familiar buildings in a world where everything was so new and strange.
Anna blinks back any of those tears that were trying to fall as Elsa pulls her back to the present. She presses her lips together and inhales a deep breath before she turns and smiles at her sister- bright and cheerful and definitely a mask. ]
At least we have this?
[ It's a stretch, but it's at least something. ]
And each other. [ She reaches up and covers Elsa's hand on her shoulder with her own. ] That's something.

That was all the two of them really wanted, wasn't it? To be together, to be sisters again. There were times when Elsa thought she'd never get that chance again, so to hear Anna say that... yeah. That hit her hard.]
Of course. With the two of us together, nothing will be able to get us down, right? [Despite the tears, she smiles. A real, true smile, with a hint of mischief behind it with her next words.] And I'm sure you'll be able to find trouble here just as easily as you could in Arendelle.

Right... [ Though with that comment... She laughs and turns to face Elsa completely. ] Where do you think the best chocolate is in this park? I think we should make a list. And try all of it.
