( this entire planet — it is a planet, isn't it? — is far more extravagant than anything rey's ever seen, and she simply can't help the way that she ogles, occasionally getting walked into as she stops in a walkway to tilt her head upwards and see a vehicle moving on a track above her head, spots a sign declaring an escaped creature (she appreciates the warning, though from that attraction's lack of a queue, she assumes they're managing just fine; surely it can't be any nastier than those she's dealt with on jakku).
tomorrowland, this place is called, which makes her wonder what this planet's version of today is like. curious.
still, she's drawn to the large white cylindrical dome of a building, because it stands out, as does its title — "space mountain". aren't all mountains in space? regardless, she enters the queue by way of her blue magicband, and it lies practically empty before her; her curiosity leads her down the ramps and through the long corridor, which starts upwards, eyes wide as she takes in the star maps of galaxies she's never even heard of. stars and ships seem to pass by her through windows on her right, which astound and amaze — and apparently distract enough that she walks right into the tall boy in front of her in line, makes her mumble a short, ) Sorry, ( before she returns to her metaphorical and literal stargazing. )
