Where there's one shadow creature, there's always more. Or. Well. Usually more, she wasn't going to act like it was a concrete rule, but Della had at least learned to keep it in mind whenever she ran into them.

She hadn't bothered going after the first one (the kid looked like she had it under control, probably, and Della would be really hypocritical if she discouraged her from fighting), but the second one, following along behind the hockey stick, caught her notice. Though, from the looks of things, it didn't catch the kid's attention. Which was perfectly fair, in her mind-- who really had time to look over their shoulder when they're raring for a fight?-- but it still looked like disaster waiting to happen. Better safe than sorry!

"Whoa, hey, look out!"

She took several large paces back from where she was standing before taking off in a sprint and springing into a leap, launching herself feet-first at the monster. Not her best plan of attack, and it certainly wasn't down for the count, but it was enough to distract it from the kid for the moment.

Even if her landing wasn't exactly graceful, Della did manage to roll back out of it without much difficulty, and immediately went about wiping ink off of the bottoms of her feet with a slight frown of disgust. She really hated those things.
